BENT-CON Needs Your Help!
Want to do something awesome today? Head over to indiegogo and support Bent-Con, and your awesomeness quotient will instantly increase by at least 27 points. (That’s a lot.) If you’ve never heard of Bent-Con, it is
- The world’s largest LGBTQ geek event
- “Like a Comic-Con, only gayer.”
- Enthusiastically operated by a very “determined and dedicated assortment of misfits, characters and broken toys.”
- In need of any stray dollars you can spare to reach their $20,000 indiegogo goal. Where to check for stray dollars: your coat pockets from last winter, the purse you shoved in the back of your closet last spring because a Lindor truffle exploded inside it.
Bent-Con started out small in 2010 and got pretty much gigantic last year, and since they’re a non-profit, they could really use your help to cover all the cool stuff they want to do, from scholarships to online streaming of their panels so more people can enjoy them.
So if you’re a geek like me, or just a geek-ally, head on over and lend a hand. Guys: they use famous numbers from Lost and X-Files for their donation levels. HOW CAN YOU RESIST?
